Day 5 (Paro)
In the morning, visit Ta Dzong. Once a watchtower, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century, Ta Dzong was inaugurated as National Museum in 1968 and also visit Rinpung Dzong.
After lunch drive up the valley to view the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, 18 km. from Paro town on the north side of the valley. It was constructed to commemorate the victory against the Tibetan invaders. If the weather is clear you can even see the glorious view of mountain Jhomolhari. While driving back, visit Paro Kyichu lhakhang, 7 century Temple. Late evening perhaps visit some Handicrafts. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
